The Grammy-winning singer/rapper first teased the song in March by sharing a video of him rapping the lyrics, but he gor backlash after posting the preview.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Lil Nas X is close to releasing his new album, "Nasarati 2". On Wednesday, April 24, the emcee unleashed a new single titled "Trust Me" on SoundCloud, wherein he raps about exploring his sexuality.

The 25-year-old announced the song's release via Instagram. Sharing a photo of himself and a video of him teasing the track, he penned, "this song means a lot to me."

On the song, Nas X raps, "Grindr sessions sextin' with faceless accounts/ Bringin' bodies in me, then sneaking them out." He goes on, "Back in middle school, I was fiending for dick/ 7th grade, sending my homies some pics/ Daddy never knew what I did as a kid/ He would've crucified me but/ Trust me, I get it."

Nas X teased a snippet of "Trust Me" in an Instagram carousel shared on March 9. "been hoarding music for years smh I hate my relationship with fear of my songs not doing well and perception. I wish I could just release music and not give af! Anyways enough venting…what's you guys top 2 of these snippets??" he captioned it.

The Grammy-winning artist, however, faced backlash over the lyrics. "Doing stuff for shock factor used to work so well for him, I don't think people care anymore," one person wrote.

"Sir please understand that your 15 minutes are up! Go start a business, go to college or something because ain't nobody effin with you anymore," another argued. "We get itttttt you're gay. What's next?" a third sighed.

Clapping back, Nas X wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "i hate explaining myself every time i do anything, but this is not for shock. this is me telling my story, y'all being uncomfortable by it does not make it a gimmick." He then added, this is for me and my fans f**k everybody else."
