The 'Bat Out of Hell' artist, who previously blasted masks, died on January 20 at the age of 74 as multiple media outlets reported that he passed away after a bout with the novel coronavirus.

AceShowbiz - Howard Stern weighed in on the passing of Meat Loaf which was reportedly due to COVID-19. The radio personality asked the "Bat Out of Hell" singer's family to speak out about COVID-19 vaccines as the late singer was known to be an anti-vaxx.

"Poor Meat Loaf got sucked into some weird f**king cult," Howard said of Meat Loaf, who died earlier this month. "And somehow really believed that -- he made a statement, 'I'd rather die a free man than take that vaccine.' And now he's dead!" he continued saying in the latest episode of his radio show, according to Uproxx.

He added, "I wish the family would come forward and say, 'Ya know, when Meat Loaf was laying there in the hospital and he couldn't breathe, he said, 'I made a mistake. I should have taken the vaccine.' Like all these anti-vaxxers, they all say, 'I made a mistake.' "

Howard has always been vocal about the importance of getting COVID-19 vaccines. Earlier this month, he said that hospitals should have just ignored unvaccinated patients.

"If it was up to me, anyone unvaccinated would not be admitted to a hospital," Howard said on Wednesday, January 19. "At this point, they have been given plenty of opportunity to get the vaccine."

The 68-year-old went on to say, "[People] have been told you will die if you get the vaccine. Some of you will live, but most of you will die. [These people] don't trust our government. They think that there's some conspiracy to turn them into a magnet or something like this."

"They think they are going to become magnetized if they take the vaccine. I've taken this vaccine three times, and the worst side effect is for a day, I had a little bit of a headache," he continued.

Meat Loaf died on January 20 at the age of 74. Multiple media outlets claimed that he passed away after a bout with the novel coronavirus, though it's unknown whether he was vaccinated.

The rocker, however, previously said that masks were "useless." He added, "They don't do anything. They don't stop you from getting COVID. They're just a nuisance and make your nose itch and make it so you can't breathe. If I die, I die, but I'm not going to be controlled."
