Going makeup free in a photo taken 'a few days' after giving birth to her first child with Jeezy, the TV host admits that 'nothing prepared [her] for postpartum.'

AceShowbiz - Jeannie Mai is getting honest about her life as a new mom after giving birth to her first child. In a new Instagram post, "The Real" co-host showed off her postpartum body as she opened up about her tough recovery.

On Monday, January 24, the 43-year-old shared a picture of her rocking a pair of gray high-waisted briefs and black bra while holding a baby bottle and sitting on a couch. She appeared to go bare-faced with her long hair hanging over her shoulder on one side.

In the caption, Jeannie admitted that the "fourth trimester" has been the "hardest" yet. "While being a new mom is the most exhilarating moment I have ever experienced in my life- nothing prepared me for postpartum," she wrote. "NOTHING. No book I've read, advice I've gotten, that could have compiled ALL the things I'd need just to sit, lay down, walk, or even hold our baby."

"This was me a few days postpartum and my God, I've been LIVING in these @fridamom briefs," she went on sharing, while including a plug for the postpartum briefs. "They're LEGIT the best damn thing! The 4th trimester has been the hardest trimester yet, but I'm a happy, healing mom over here."

Jeannie announced on January 11 that she had given birth to her baby with Jeezy (previously known as Young Jeezy). "Baby Jenkins is here," she excitedly stated along with a sweet snap of a baby blanket covered in footprints with the nametag "Baby Jenkins" nearby.

Later in a YouTube video published on January 20, the first-time mom revealed her baby's name and its thoughtful meaning. "I thought Baby J's name should be a J name because obviously Jeannie and Jeezy make sense, but that wasn't the name that came to us," she explained in the 13-minute video. "What really came to us was how baby J came to fruition for us when we were dating."

The stylist then recalled a pivotal trip to Monaco, where they discussed their goals for the future and "established what was going on for us." She added, "That's really the theme of the nursery, what Monaco is about. Family, moments, traveling, discussions, important key points in my life and Jeezy's life, that brought Monaco here."

In a recent episode of "The Real", her co-hosts said that the baby's sex will be announced at a later date.
