In addition to not doing a tour for her new piece 'Things I Should Have Said', the 'Sweet Magnolias' actress reportedly will donate 'a portion' of the profits to several charities.

AceShowbiz - Jamie Lynn Spears apparently has taken a hard pass on doing a nationwide tour to promote her new book, "Things I Should Have Said". The "Zoey 101" alum is reportedly "not going on book tour" as she didn't write it for money.

A source spilled to TMZ on Monday, January 17 that the 30-year-old author/actress was offered the chance to promote her new book through a nationwide tour but she declined the opportunity. On the reason why, the insider further noted that "she's not in it for the money."

It's also reported that Jamie Lynn "wrote it to address her past, heal from it and move on." The so-called inside source went on to add that "a portion" of the profits will go to a number of charities. The insider noted that the "Sweet Magnolias" actress "doesn't want to name the charities this time around" as she once got rejected by a charity due to heavy backlash.

Despite her feud with her sister Britney Spears, it seemed Jamie Lynn was keen to end their rift and work on the relationship with her sister. Shortly after Jamie Lynn's tell-all interview with "Good Morning America" and Britney's response about the sit-down, Jamie Lynn asked her older sibling to sort out their "embarrassing" feud privately rather than posting it online.

"Britney - Just call me, I have attempted many times to speak to you directly and handle this privately like sisters should, but you still choose to do everything on a public platform," Jamie Lynn wrote via Instagram on January 15. "In the meantime, please stop continuing the narrative that I haven't been there for you or that I'm making things up."

The former Nickelodeon star added, "I'm happy to share how many times I've reached out to you, supported you and tried to help you." She concluded her post, "This is embarrassing and has to stop. Love you."

But it wasn't long until Britney hit back again after her sister claimed she'd locked them both in a room with a knife. "Jamie Lynn ... congrats babe. You've stooped to a whole new level of low... I've never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever think to do such!" the "Toxic" hitmaker said in her statement.

"The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest piece of squash I ever saw in my life and it was way too big for me to cut," Britney added. The pop star stressed, "So please, please stop with these crazy lies for the Hollywood books. Now and only now I do know only a scum person would make up such things about someone. I'm actually very confused about you making that up because it's honestly not like you at all! Around the kids? Jamie Lynn, seriously? Come on!"
