'Celebrating Betty White: America's Golden Girl' is not the only TV special to come ahead of what would have been the late actress' 100th birthday as TV Land will also air a special honoring White.

AceShowbiz - NBC will honor Betty White with a TV special. "Celebrating Betty White: America's Golden Girl" is set to feature tributes from different celebrities and friends of White, who died on December 31, 2021 at age 99.
The hour-long special will additionally show clips from throughout her career as a comedic actor. It will showcase her impeccable comic timing on series such as "Mary Tyler Moore", "The Golden Girls" and "Hot in Cleveland". As for the participants, it will be announced on a later date.
Brad Lachman Productions is behind "Celebrating Betty White", which is scheduled to air on January 31 at 10 P.M. before it will be available to stream on Peacock on the next day. Lachman, who has produced two previous NBC specials celebrating White's life, will also executive produce along with Bill Bracken.
"Celebrating Betty White" isn't the only TV special to come ahead of what would have been White's 100th birthday. On January 15, TV Land will air "ET Presents: Betty White, A Life Well Lived" in celebration of White's iconic legacy. Encore presentations will air on Sunday, January 16, at 5 P.M. ET, and on her birthday on Monday, January 17, at 7 P.M. ET.
Meanwhile, a movie honoring White, "Betty White: 100 Years Young -- A Birthday Celebration", will still air on her birthday, January 17. It features tons of stars, including Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Valerie Bertinelli, James Corden, Wendy Malick and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
White died peacefully in her sleep at home on December 31 after suffering a stroke. Her death certificate, obtained by TMZ, lists Betty's cause of death as a cerebrovascular accident, which is a loss of blood flow to part of the brain, resulting in brain tissue damage. She suffered a stroke 6 days before her passing.
Betty's funeral will be held in private, in accordance to her wish. "The arrangements are being handled privately and that was Betty's wish," her agent Jeff Witjas said on Wednesday, January 5. "As in life, she never wanted people to make a fuss over her."
