The singer's 17-year-old son Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor was found dead on January 7, two days after he went missing from suicide watch at an Irish hospital.

AceShowbiz - Sinead O'Connor is having a hard time after losing her child. The "Nothing Compares 2 U" songstress divulged that she's rushed to a hospital after sharing suicidal tweets in the wake of Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor's death.

"I've decided to follow my son. There is no point living without him," the grieving mom first wrote on her unverified Twitter account. "Everything I touch, I ruin. I only stayed for him. And now he's gone."

On Thursday, January 13, Sinead apologized to her fans for sharing alarming posts. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I am with cops now on way to hospital. I'm sorry I upset everyone," she penned. "I am lost without my kid and I hate myself. Hospital will help a while. But I'm going to find Shane. This is just a delay."

Sinead O'Connor's Tweet

Sinead O'Connor said she's seeking medical attention after posting suicidal tweets in the wake of son's death.

The news arrived after Sinead confirmed Shane's death on January 7. "My beautiful son, Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God," she wrote. "May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace."

Sinead, who previously divulged that Shane had gone missing, later blasted an Irish hospital for their lack of supervision. "I want to know why Lynn Ward at Taillight hospital who were supposed to have HCA's supervise my child 24/7 have managed to let him out of their grasp this morning when 7 days ago he made two severe suicide attempts," she argued.

"Like, how has a seventeen year old traumatised young person WHO WAS ON SUICIDE WATCH in Tallaght Hosptial's Lynn Ward been able to go missing??? Hospital of course so far refusing to take any responsibility," she went on fuming. "Anything happens to my son on their watch? Lawsuits."

Sinead shared Shane with Irish folk singer Donal Lunny. Following the 17-year-old's passing, Donal's representative told Fox News Digital, "The family has requested privacy at this difficult time."
