AceShowbiz - Porsha Williams has broken her silence regarding her physical altercation with ex and baby daddy Dennis McKinley. Making use of her Instagram account, the Bravo personality shared a lengthy message while reflecting on the incident in the recent episode of "Porsha's Family Matters".
"There is a lot that viewers didn't get to see tonight and I wish we had more cameras to capture that, which I understand is nobody's fault," the former "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member began her now-deleted post on Sunday, January 9. "I've learned in the past that physical violence is never okay, especially when a man is causing physical harm to women. That is something we are too desentized to as a society."
She went on to note, "I spoke to some of my family members that were present and decided at the time it was best not to talk about what cameras didn't get to capture because I was trying to protect Dennis, his business, and therefore our own daughter. Looking back, that was not the right idea."
The star, who shares daughter Pillar with her ex Dennis, went on to say that she took "accountability for reacting strongly to what I was seeing and hearing." Referring to Dennis' mom Gina, she added, "While I was not physical with Ms. Gina, I regret to arguing with an elder."
Concluding the statement, Porsha wrote, "We're six months removed from this incident and I'm looking forward, not backwards."
The physical altercation, which took place during a family trip to Mexico, was featured in the recent episode of Porsha's new reality show "Porsha Family Matters". In the episode, Porsha, her family, her fiance Simon Guobadia, Dennis and his mom Mama Gina were having dinner before things went south.
Porsha and Dennis were arguing as she continued calling him out for cheating on her while she was pregnant with their child. At one point, she told Dennis and his mom to leave. While they were on their way out, the back-and-forth only got heated and Mama Gina could not help but defend his son when Porsha started yelling at him.
Chaos erupted when Porsha swung on Dennis. Staff members held Porsha back from further attacking Dennis. Some other family members were also screaming and yelling during the altercation.
