'The Last Duel' actor is reportedly desperate to secure his renewed career which results in him 'pushing himself way too hard' and 'putting impossible demands on himself.'

AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck is apparently making quite a lot of mistakes after rekindling his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. The "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star reportedly made "bad decisions" that affected his renewed career.

"He's not acting right in the head," a source close to the 49-year-old actor spilled to OK! Magazine on Friday, January 7. The so-called inside source added, "He's making a lot of bad decisions." The informant also shared that "The Last Duel" star is currently "pushing himself way too hard" and "putting impossible demands on himself."

In addition, Ben reportedly took some back-to-back projects. "Ben's running himself ragged and needs to take a step back," so said the insider. "Otherwise, at this rate, he's a ticking time bomb waiting to explode."

Ben made headlines recently after he confessed during SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show" last month that he felt "trapped" in his marriage to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares 16-year-old Violet, 12-year-old Seraphina and 9-year-old Samuel. At the time, he also said that the feeling of being trapped was the reason he "started drinking."

Ben told Howard that he turned to alcohol as he struggled to keep his marriage to the "13 Going on 30" actress. "We probably would've ended up at each other's throats. I probably still would've been drinking," he reflected on his unhappy marriage. "Part of why I started drinking was because I was trapped."

"I was like, 'I can't leave because of my kids, but I'm not happy, what do I do?' And what I did was [I] drank a bottle of scotch and fell asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution," the "Justice League" star explained. "Ultimately, we tried, we tried, we tried because we had kids, but both of us felt like we didn't want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage."

After catching the heat for his comment, Ben, a few days later, made use of his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to explain himself. Sitting down with Jimmy Kimmel, he said that his interview with Howard was "meaningful" and didn't realize how his comments had been perceived until after it aired. He then claimed some listeners had "taken the conversation" and "made it seem as if [he] was doing the exact opposite of what [he] said" by focusing on only one piece of their chat.

Ben went on to clarify, "That's not true. I don't believe that. It's the exact opposite of who I am, what I believe and I would never want my kids to think I would ever say a bad word about their mom." The "Argo" star further stressed, "It hurts my feelings."
