The former NBA star, who was married to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' alum from 2009 to 2013, says that he wishes 'nothing but the best for her' following Tristan's revelation.

AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom is showing support for Khloe Kardashian. After Tristan Thompson revealed that a paternity test confirmed he is the father of Maralee Nichols' newborn son, the former NBA star said he wants to "reconnect" with his ex-wife and "talk one day as friends."

Lamar weighed in on Tristan and Khloe's drama by commenting on a Facebook post about Tristan's paternity results. "I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I'm hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends," the 42-year-old said, according to E! News. "She is a good person and deserves the world."

This arrived after Tristan, who shares 3-year-old daughter True with Khloe, admitted that he's a father to Maralee's baby. "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols," he penned on Instagram Story on Monday, January 3.

"I take full responsibility for my actions," the Sacramento Kings player vowed. "Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."

Tristan went on to apologize to Khloe. "Khloe, you don't deserve this," he acknowledged. "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years."

"My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think," the Canadian athlete continued expressing his remorse. He then concluded his message, "Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

Tristan was previously accused of trying to silence Maralee, who sued him for child support in December. In his alleged DMs, he offered $75,000 to his baby mama so she wouldn't speak up. He also made it clear he wanted "zero involvement" with the baby.

Khloe has yet to respond to Tristan's public apology. The younger sister of Kim Kardashian, who was married to Lamar from 2009 to 2013, also hasn't responded to the latter's statement.
