AceShowbiz - Baby Blue has yet to put his shooting case behind him. Months after being shot in South Florida during an attempted armed robbery, the original member of the hip-hop group Pretty Ricky filed a lawsuit against SPAREZ Bowling Alley.

In the lawsuit, it was stated that SPAREZ invited the 37-year-old emcee, whose real name is Diamond Blue Smith, to the venue. Unfortunately, the company "failed to patrol, police, and guard the premises."

Blue claimed that he suffered "permanent and personal injury including significant scarring and loss of his ability to walk" following the shooting. Thus, he is now seeking unspecified damages.

The incident took place in mid-April in the parking lot of SPAREZ. The "Nothing but a Number" rapper was reportedly standing next to his friend by their cars "when two unknown armed male suspects approached."

The suspects then tried to steal a gold chain necklace from Blue and his pal until a physical altercation ensued. It was during the fight that the "Jerry Rice" spitter got shot in the left shoulder area. The police allegedly arrived at the scene after the suspect escaped.

At that time, Hollywood Unlocked shared on Instagram a video of the "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" cast member lying still on the floor with his arm covered in blood. A friend next to him frantically screamed out for help. Two other men then came to help and roll him onto his side.

Shooting aside, it's previously reported that Blue has been sentenced to 20 months in prison for his involvement in PPP loan fraud. The musician was "ordered to pay $1,111345.23 in restitution and $1,134,782 in forfeiture in addition to his term of imprisonment."

Reflecting on the ordeal, Blue penned on Instagram, "I can't go back and change the beginning but I can start where I am and change the ending." He added, "There are things in life we don't want to happen but have to accept; Lessons in life we don't want to know but have to learn."
