The 'Trap Queen' hitmaker has been given a two-month delay following a court hearing, a month after he was taken into custody by federal agents on drug charges.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Fetty Wap has agreed to a delay of his felony drug cases after pleading not guilty to charges alleging he and five associates conspired to distribute controlled substances like heroin and fentanyl.

The "Trap Queen" hitmaker appeared by phone at a court hearing on Monday (29Nov21), just hours after releasing his new song and video, "First Day Out", and he agreed to a two-month delay so he could negotiate a plea deal in the federal case.

The rapper, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested by FBI agents at New York's Citi Field ahead of his scheduled performance at the Rolling Loud festival on 28 October (21) and spent nine days in custody before his release on bail.

He is due back in court on 2 February (22).

Following his arrest, he got cryptic with his message as he promised his loyal devotees he "would be back better wiser and smarter."

Without mentioning his legal woes, he claimed "loyalty can be both a great trait and a deadly one."

"Choose wisely with who you stand with but never change what you stand for Never bend Never Fold," he added. "Head up like a nose bleed #ImOnBorrowedTime if it ain't life it ain't forever."

The hip-hop artist was released on a $500,000 bond in early November. While waiting for his court hearing, he had to wear a GPS monitoring device, submit drug testing results, surrender his passport, and ask for approval from authorities before traveling.
