AceShowbiz - It looks like that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were spending Thanksgiving together. The couple stepped out together over the weekend, several days after the holiday, amid Kanye West's wish to get back together with the reality TV star.
On Saturday, November 27, the lovebirds had a breakfast date at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, during which they ran into a Dutch fan. Dutch music journalist Paul Barewijk documented the rare chance encounter on social media.
Making use of his Instagram page, Paul shared two photos he took with Kim and Pete. "OMG MAKE ME CRAZY! SITTING NEXT TO KIM KARDASHIAN AND PETE DAVIDSON FOR BREAKFAST!" he wrote in the caption.
To PEOPLE, Paul explained that he first noticed the comedian while he was having his morning tea and chatting on the phone with his mother at the hotel bar. "All of the sudden I looked to my right and saw Pete Davidson," he recalled. "I talked further with my mom and then I thought, 'Who is he talking with?' Because I know the latest dating rumors. And so, it was Kim Kardashian!"
Paul had just taken photos at the Fendi x SKIMS collab pop-up boutique on Rodeo Drive, which was closed at the time, before the encounter. He said he showed the photos to a "stunning" Kim to break the ice.
"I asked her for a photo. She said, 'Okay, sure,' and I asked Pete to take the photo. So he did. We took two photos," said Paul. "I told him that people in The Netherlands like him because of 'SNL', so.. selfie? He took it!"
Paul went on gushing about the couple. "They looked happy, sat close to each other and walked away together," he told the news outlet. He additionally said to Page Six, "It seemed like a true date," noting that it looked like the pair were definitely "more than" friends. He added, "No kissing, but they were very close with each other."
After news of his chance meeting with Kim and Pete made headlines, Paul once again took to Instagram to express his excitement. "Omg, the day after I met @kimkardashian and Pete Davidson! Here some coverage of the newspapers," he wrote along with screenshots of the tabloid headlines. "What a great moment and what a treat to share it with so many people [a heart emoji] Very thankful."
Kim and Pete's latest outing comes on the heels of Kanye's public declaration that he wants to save his marriage. On Wednesday, November 24, he admitted during his speech at Skid Row that he "made mistakes," but insinuated that it's God's will for him to be back together with his estranged wife.
"The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships," he said. "We've made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason - I didn't know I was going to be in front of this mic - but I'm here to change the narrative."
"I have to be next to my children as much as possible. So, when I'm out the house, I've got a house right next to the house. I'm doing everything to be right next to the situation," he added.
Kanye expressed similar wish in a lengthy public prayer shared to Instagram on Thanksgiving day. "All I think about every day is how I get my family back together and how I heal the pain that I’ve caused," the rapper admitted. "I take accountability for my actions."
He also shared an old black-and-white photo of him and Kim kissing on his Instagram Story on Friday. The Yeezy founder included a screenshot of TMZ's headline which read, "Kanye West Says God Will Bring Kim and Him Back Together, Inspire Millions," and tagged both his estranged wife and the website.
