The A$AP Mob member is giving back to the community on Thanksgiving holiday by returning to the city where he was born and helping feed needy youngsters in the area.

AceShowbiz - A$AP Rocky celebrated Thanksgiving by serving food to the needy in his native Harlem.

The "Praise the Lord" rapper returned to New York where he joined the Volunteers of America family residence to help feed homeless youth in the area.

During his shift, Rocky - real name Rakim Mayers - also enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner of his own, which he served up himself and ate alongside the other visitors, reported MailOnline.

The hitmaker, who is dating global superstar Rihanna, was born in Harlem but relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania when he was nine.

In an interview with WSJ Magazine last year, the rap star talked about his childhood as he grew up with his drug dealer father.

He opened up, "My dad was a hustler, and the hustle brought him to Pennsylvania. He used to hustle in Harrisburg; he moved the whole family to Rutherford and Hershey."

"I went to an all-white school there- there were probably like six or eight black people out of hundreds. By the time we moved back to New York, my friends were everybody. My world wasn't just in one radius."

Regardless of his father's less-than-ideal job, the rapper looked up to his dad who died in 2012. He said in a different chat, "He was a clean cut kind of guy, especially in the way he dressed. I just took the advice he gave me and I ran with it. He told me to always be yourself and always feel comfortable with whatever decision you make because you choose to do it. Just because something doesn't fit in doesn't mean it's not right."
