At the annual event, which takes place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, the famed K-Pop group manages to take home three trophies out of three categories.

AceShowbiz - Several artists hit the stage at the 2021 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 10. On the special night, pop star Olivia Rodrigo made her debut with a heartfelt "Traitor" performance while BTS (Bangtan Boys) and Coldplay woke up the audience with their collaborative single, "My Universe".

The "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" star entered the stage of Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater through a white door that appears in the song's visuals, which was dropped a month ago. She then belted out the first verse and chorus while strumming her guitar before a backing band joined in.

Olivia looked stunning in a simple pink dress that looked similar to the one she wore in the "Traitor" music video. Further making the performance mesmerizing, the stage was filled with flowers and the venue was decorated with a faux starry sky.

As for BTS and Coldplay, they joined forces to perform "My Universe", which was released back in September. Host Cardi B first introduced the groups as "the biggest bands in the world."

Chris Martin and seven members of the famed K-Pop group seemed to be having a lot of fun while singing along with the excited audience, who sported light-up wristbands. Before they ended their gig, several pyrotechnic explosions came out, prompting fans to shout even louder.

Sunday night was such a celebratory moment for RM, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, V, Jin as well as J-Hope as they took home three awards out of three categories. They won Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song for "Butter".

Olivia, who was the leading nominee at the 2021 American Music Awards, took home only one trophy out of seven. However, it was still such a big win for the 18-year-old "Drivers License" hitmaker since she was named as the New Artist of the Year at the annual awards show.
