A little over a month after going public about her marriage, the 'Yellowjackets' star explains why she was so keen to avoid all the fanfare surrounding the low-key nuptials.

AceShowbiz - Christina Ricci was so keen to avoid all the fanfare surrounding her wedding to stylist Mark Hampton, the two exchanged vows at a "storefront chapel" near their home.
The actress confirmed she and Mark were married last month (October 2021), posting a wedding day shot of the pair and captioning it "Mr. and Mrs."
Appearing on "The Talk" on Wednesday, November 17, the "Mermaids" star revealed she didn't want the fuss of a big wedding because she's pregnant and expecting her second child.
"We did sort of a brief wedding," Christina explained. "We went to, like, a storefront chapel thing in Van Nuys (California) and just got married quickly because I'm nine months pregnant so we wanted to get it out of the way and then we will have more of like, an event wedding. This was not a fancy wedding."
The new baby will be the couple's first child - Christina has a seven-year-old son, called Freddie, from her marriage to James Heergeden.
About how Freddie reacted to being a big brother, Christina gushed, "He's super excited, he's wanted to be a brother for a very long time, and he promises to help."
"He has trouble sleeping through the night, and he refuses sometimes to go back to bed," the 41-year-old actress went on spilling. "So I told him that if he does wake up in the middle of the night when the baby is here, his punishment will be changing diapers."
The "Yellowjackets" star has spent months gushing about her man and on "The Talk", she cooed about his hairstyling skills, joking, "It is very convenient. I never will have to go anywhere for a haircut again."
