In a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the 'Succession' actor reveals his 3-month-old son's moniker, Wilder Wolf, after 'torturing' himself for picking the baby boy's name.

AceShowbiz - Kieran Culkin has opened up the real reason why he and his wife Jazz Charton didn't name their newborn son until seven weeks after his birth. When making an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", the "Succession" actor revealed that they struggled to come to an agreement.

On the Tuesday, November 16 episode of the talk show, the 39-year-old finally announced his 3-month-old baby boy's name, Wilder Wolf, for the first time. "My wife wanted Wolf. She was fighting hard for Wolf," the actor told Ellen DeGeneres.

"We found [the name] in the hospital the day that he was born and we thought 'That's great.' But instead of pulling the trigger on it, [we thought], 'Let's torture ourselves for about seven weeks,' disagreeing with names before we come around to the name that we picked," Kieran explained further. He added, "Cause, we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl."

In response, Ellen told the "Home Alone" star, "I love that name. I like Wolf. If we were going to have a child, we would have named him Wolf." Further stressing that she loves the name, the talk show host added, "Instead we got a dog and named it Wolf. It's a great name."

Kieran shared that he and Jazz, fortunately, were able to buy more time on the day of Wilder's birth as his wife was given the option to "hold the baby in for an hour and a half." At that time, they could go home a day earlier.

"So, she's in bed and we have a dry erase board so we can go over every name we thought of. And we were like 'Let's focus on girl names because we really like these,' " Kieran recalled. "We narrowed it down to two girl names that we really liked and we agreed it was going to be one of those two names if it's a girl and if it's a boy we're screwed."

Kieran added, "And we had a boy and spent seven weeks arguing about names," and laughed. When asked by Ellen why the couple didn't think of more names before Wilder's birth, the actor explained, "That would take some organization and some planning, that's not something that either of us do."

Kieran and Jazz, who tied the knot in 2013, welcomed their second baby together on August 17, but they announced the exciting news a month later. "One month with our perfect little man," Jazz wrote in the caption for a carousel of photos that gave a peek into her life as a mom of two. Jazz, who is also a mom to their 2-year-old daughter Kinsey Sioux, went on to share their son's birth date and added the hashtag "gettheepidural."
