The young girl, who currently lives with her mom Laura in California, reportedly feels 'triggered' by seeing her father's lavish wedding to the media personality.

AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton's new husband Carter Reum is already a father. Days after the couple tied the knot, it's revealed that the venture capitalist has a 9-year-old love child with Mel Gibson's ex, Laura Ballizzi.
Revealing the news was a spokesperson for Carter. "The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years. Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so," the spokesperson told Page Six.
According to the outlet, the 40-year-old author/entrepreneur never took a paternity test. However, he acknowledged that he was the father. The publication also claimed that he has "only seen [his daughter] once since she was born 9 years ago."
About Carter's baby mama Laura, she is a reality star who appeared on VH1's "Secrets of Aspen", which only ran for one season. Laura, who briefly dated Mel years ago, currently lives in California with the child.
A source shared to Page Six that the young girl had been "triggered" by seeing Carter's lavish wedding to Paris. "Also, she saw the articles of Paris and Carter talking about starting a family," the source elaborated. "She felt tremendous rejection and felt left out. She wants to have a relationship with him."
Noting that the girl only wants to "know her daddy," the insider went on to explain, "She just wants to really complete the missing pieces of her puzzle." The insider added, "She's at that age where self-identity is so important, and children want to know who they are and where they come from. It's important for him to help her with that."
"It's not about [Reum] or the mother," the unnamed informant continued. "It's about making the child whole. She is absolutely an amazing little girl. She has so much love to give. And she wants to give it to him, his family and whoever he chooses to love."
A second source, on the other hand, divulged, "She is of an age now where she is cognizant and wants her paternal family to hear her and know her." The source further disclosed, "He may not claim or love her, but she claims and loves him and his family."
Paris and Carter tied the knot in three-day wedding festivities, starting from November 11. The couple ended the celebration on Saturday, November 13 with another lavish and extravagant party.
