The 'Terminator' actor and his ex have reportedly removed their divorce case from the Los Angeles County Courthouse as they are keen to settle it in private.

AceShowbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have signed a deal to settle their decade-long divorce in private.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the former couple has agreed to remove the case from the Los Angeles County Courthouse and have it handled by a private judge.

Maria filed for divorce a decade ago after learning the "Terminator" star had fathered a child with the couple's housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

The agreement to work with a private judge indicates the couple is close to settling the divorce.

Back in June this year, Arnold Schwarzenegger filed a declaration of disclosure to wrap up the divorce case. The couple split after 25 years of marriage in 2011, but very little progress was made in the case as nothing was filed for more than four years.

According to reports, Arnold and Maria share an estate worth over $400 million (£287 million), but didn't enter into a prenuptial agreement before their wedding, so it should simply be a case of splitting property and cash accrued during the marriage down the middle.

The former couple got married in 1986. They share four children. One of their daughters Katherine Schwarzenegger gave birth to daughter Lyla in 2020 after a year of marriage with actor Chris Pratt. The baby is the first grandchild for both Arnold and Maria.

"They always say it's the most fun thing to be a grandfather because you have no responsibility. None. I get all the credit. As soon as my daughter gave birth to this beautiful baby girl Lyla, as soon as that happened, I got like hundreds of congratulations, things and gifts and all kinds of stuff," Arnold joked.
