The 'Camp Rock' actor has landed in hot water for partnering with a streaming service which becomes one of the favorite places for QAnon conspiracy theorists.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato has been slammed for promoting a streaming service which has been called a "hub" for QAnon conspiracy theorists.
Last week (02Nov21), the "Heart Attack" hitmaker, who uses they/them pronouns, announced their appointment as an ambassador for the website, Gaia, which features videos about meditation, yoga, and aliens.
Site bosses describe the platform as the "Netflix of spirituality" but critics suggest many of its subscribers believe the QAnon conspiracy theory that former U.S. leader Donald President Trump was battling a secret group of paedophiles, including high-ranking members of the Democratic party.
"Thrilled to be a @wearegaia ambassador. Understanding the world around us (the known and the unknown) is so exciting to me!" the pop singer wrote in an Instagram post, alongside a snap of the Gaia logo.
The star has long been fascinated by the topic of aliens and launched the unscripted Peacock series "Unidentified with Demi Lovato" in September (21) to probe "some of the biggest questions about extraterrestrial life." She was drawn to Gaia thanks to its coverage of otherworldly phenomena.
Now a new report in The Daily Beast claims the platform features "hoaxes about sinister aliens, vaccines, world-spanning cabals, and reptilian overlords" while an earlier article in Out magazine termed it "a hub for QAnon and other antisemitic conspiracies, as well as antivaxxers."
Fans are also raging about the "Cool for the Summer" singer's involvement, with one saying Lovato is "promoting dangerous conspiracy content, including ancient alien and lizard people material Gaia uses to lure readers to right-wing extremism."
Another added, "I don't care if they want to investigate UFOs or conspiracy theories on their own time. What I do care is how they are promoting a site that amplifies dangerous conspiracy theories to the 118,000,000 followers on IG (Instagram)."
The "Camp Rock" standout will reportedly take a cut of money earned by Gaia chiefs each time someone signs on as a monthly member and streams some of Lovato's "handpicked favorite" shows.
