The 'Say You Won't Let Go' hitmaker addresses his mental health struggles on his latest studio installment, which is titled 'It'll All Make Sense in the End'.

AceShowbiz - James Arthur credits music for helping him through his mental health struggles.

The Brit bravely tackles his issues on his latest LP "It'll All Make Sense in the End", out Friday (05Nov21), and he tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper that the record "brings light to the subject."

"There's a theme of giving up or wanting to give up. I speak a little bit about suicide on this album," explains "The X Factor U.K." winner. "As tough as that was, and as vulnerable as I had to make it, in the end, I figured that it only brings light to the subject."

"(Lead single) Medicine is a good yardstick. The lyric talks about, 'When I'm suicidal, you don't let me spiral.' There's a lot of appreciation for those people that love me and support me that have kept me from spiralling and going too deep into those dark places."

James has actively sought help for his personal battles, but he admits hitting the studio and working on new tunes is the most effective treatment for him.

"I'm in therapy right now. And as profound as that is, I always just feel a sense of purpose and stillness when I'm doing music that I can't get from anything else," he adds. "It's the most therapeutic thing that I can do."

The new album comes roughly two years after his 2019 record simply titled "You".
