When reminiscing on 'one of the proudest days' of her life, the 'Shallow' hitmaker could not help but admit about her attempt to look for evidence from the January 6 insurrection.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa got carried away in Washington D.C. at Joe Biden's presidential inauguration and started looking for evidence of the January 6 U.S. insurrection.

The pop star sang the American National Anthem outside the U.S. Capitol building, which had been breached by supporters of Biden's predecessor, Donald Trump, exactly two weeks earlier, and reveals she turned sleuth as she looked for evidence from one of America's darkest days.

"That (performing at the inauguration) has to be one of the proudest days of my whole life," GaGa tells British Vogue. "Like many people in America, I felt a deep fear when Trump was President, and ushering 45 (45th president) out and 46 in is something I'll be able to tell my children all about."

She'll never forget "singing in a Schiaparelli bulletproof dress," nor getting swept up in the day's pomp and ceremony and turning detective behind the scenes.

"I don't know if people know this about me, but if I weren't who I am today, I would have been a combat journalist," she notes. "That was one of my dreams. When I was at the Capitol, the day before the inauguration, I remember walking around and looking for evidence of the insurrection."

Elsewhere in the interview, GaGa talked about finding happiness again. "There was a long time when I didn't think that I could heal from becoming famous at such a young age, and what it did to my brain. But I feel ready to declare myself whole," she explained. "We will never all be fully whole, but it's certainly enough. I have a lot of gratitude for joy."
