The Queens of the Stone Age frontman testifies against former wife Brody Dalle as he accuses her of violating their custody agreement following bitter divorce.

AceShowbiz - Josh Homme has testified as part of ex-wife Brody Dalle's ongoing criminal contempt trial.

The Queens of the Stone Age frontman was called as a witness to the trial which began last Friday (29Oct21), reported Rolling Stone, after he alleged The Distillers frontwoman violated an equal custody agreement made in October last year.

He further claimed his former spouse was "alienating" him from his sons by allegedly not allowing him to see them, citing instances on 27 August and 3 September when he was kept from his kids, despite court orders allowing visitation.

Dalle previously plead not guilty to the contempt charge and denied Homme's allegations, with her lawyers reportedly claiming their eldest son Orrin, who is aged 10, refused to see his dad.

In September, she attempted to file a restraining order against Homme on behalf of their sons, alleging he "abuses them physically and emotionally with flicks to the ear, put-downs, threats against their mother (and her boyfriend) and groping of the boys' privates."

However, this has been repeatedly denied, with Homme reportedly sharing, "They're my sons. I take them places. We play. I take them to the hardware store, go surfing, go to the beach. We make dinner together. It's been good."

Last month, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Lawrence Riff determined that Homme could see his sons again under monitored visitation; but despite visiting their five year old Wolf, his lawyer Glen Jonas told the court the musician still hadn't seen his older son since August.

Judge Riff is reportedly unwilling to allow the children to testify until Dalle's legal team establishes a foundation in the trial, insisting, "I'm not going to permit questions as to why the kids did not want to see their father until there is some evidence in the record that they did not want to see their father, and mother tried to comply with the order."

"This is not a custody hearing. This is not a restraining order hearing. This is a contempt hearing."

In September, the couple's daughter Camille, 15, had her restraining order against Homme extended until at least November. He is required to keep a distance of at least 100 yards and not make any contact.
