The 'Montero' hitmaker is expected to share stage with Diplo in the Sin City while the 'Ropin' the Wind' crooner will pay tribute to his late pal at a music gala in Nashville.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X is reportedly set to hit up Sin City for a performance with Diplo.

The superstar DJ will perform a set at the EDC Las Vegas festival this weekend (23-23Oct21), with the "Industry Baby" hitmaker apparently set to join him.

According to the New York Post's Page Six gossip column, the rapper has made the last-minute decision to play "a few songs" during the event.

"He's going to hop on stage with Diplo and they're going to do something original," an insider claimed. "He wanted to do it. Last-minute thing. (He's flying) out from Atlanta for it."

The Chainsmokers, Alesso, Paul Oakenfold, Kaskade, and Deadmau5 are among the many performers set to appear.

Meanwhile, Garth Brooks will honour late country icon Charley Pride with a Lifetime Achievement Award at an upcoming Recording Industry Association of America gala.

The "Friends in Low Places" singer will present the trophy to Pride's son Dion and admits it's the highest honour to be saluting a hero.

"Sometimes the greatest honor you can receive is being part of honoring someone else - this is an honor," Brooks said in a statement.

Brooks will also speak with author and Vanderbilt University scholar Alice Randall about the impact of Pride's influence on country music at the event, which will be held at the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tennessee on 25 October (21).

Randall wrote the hit "XXX's and OOO's", which was recorded by Garth's wife, Trisha Yearwood.

Pride, who passed away in December, 2020, collaborated with Brooks on the duet "Where the Cross Don't Burn" earlier that year at his studio in Dallas, Texas studio. The track chronicles the friendship between a young white boy and an older black man during segregation.
