AceShowbiz - "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. According to his family, the professional wrestler is now on the mend following his successful surgical procedure.

"Out of surgery and back in his room. Everything went well," the 67-year-old's family announced on his official Instagram account on Wednesday, October 20. Along with a photo of him smiling with his thumb up, his family continued to express their gratitude for those who prayed for his speedy recovery as saying, "Thank you for your prayers, good vibes and good thoughts. You can keep them coming in."

Also sharing the relieving news was WWE legend Jake the Snake. When giving an update of his friend's current condition, the 66-year-old wrestler said, "Great news !!! Hacksaw Jim Duggan is out of surgery and recovering!!"

A few hours earlier, Jim's wife, Debra, shared that Jim was taken to hospital to undergo an emergency procedure. "Back where we don't want to be. Please pray for Jim and his doctors as he has emergency surgery this morning. Thank you, Debra," she captioned an Instagram post that saw Jim looking sick in a hospital bed.

Jim was previously hospitalized in 2018 after his heart went into atrial fibrillation, which was an irregular heartbeat that can lead to blood clots, strokes and other serious heart issues. At the time, Jim confessed that he feared he was going to die.

"My main concern, I have 2 daughters and my wife, I just wanted to survive it. Thankfully, it looks like I'll be able to," Jim stated in 2018. Then in September 2019, he was taken to hospital again for a "severe infection," according to his wife, Debra.

Back in November 2013, Jim started an IndieGoGo campaign to raise money to repair his torn rotatory cuff. One month later, the fundraising campaign was closed, exceeding its goal of $6,500 with a grand total of $10,396.
