Addressing his refusal to get vaccinated, the Brooklyn Net star previously explained on Instagram Live that 'it's not about being anti-vax' but 'it's about being true to what feels good for me.'

AceShowbiz - Howard Stern ripped Kyrie Irving for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. On his SiriusXM radio show on Tuesday, October 19, the radio icon drags the Brooklyn Nets superstar, calling him the "top idiot in the country."

"In terms of idiots, he's gotta be the top idiot in the country right now," Stern said of Irving. Referring to Irving being not eligibile to play this season because of his vaccine status, Stern added, "Guy's got a chance as a young man to make millions of dollars, all he's got to do is get vaccinated, but he doesn't want to get vaccinated."

Stern continued, "He doesn't need a reason, just that he's stupid. Because this guy's got a history of being stupid. He's one of these guys, he's a flat-earther, too."

Meanwhile, the radio host praised the Nets, saying, "I don't know who runs the Brooklyn Nets, but I wish they were running the country." He continued, "I love this. Basically saying, 'Listen, douchebag. You've got to do what is right, that's it.' "

Addressing his refusal to get vaccinated, Irving previously explained on Instagram Live, "I'm staying grounded in what I believe in. It's not about being anti-vax or about being on one side or the other. It's about being true to what feels good for me. I'm still uncertain about a lot of things. And that's OK. If I'm going to be demonized about having more questions and taking my time to make a decision with my life, then that's just what it is."

Of losing more than $15.5 million this season if he does not play any home games, the seven-time All-Star elaborated, "It's not about the money, baby. It's about choosing what's best for you. You think I really want to lose money? You think I really want to give up on my dream to go after a championship? You think I really just want to give up my job? You think I really just want to sit at home and not go after the things with my teammates that I've been able to grow with, to learn with?"
