Jeremy O. Harris is desperate to get the 'Easy On Me' singer to see his hit show after Grammy-winning musician previously left early when coming to his off-Broadway production.

AceShowbiz - Playwright Jeremy O. Harris is desperate for Adele to catch his record-breaking Broadway hit "Slave Play" after she came so close to seeing his previous show.

Harris' acclaimed "Slave Play" earned 12 Tony Award nominations this year (21), beating the mark set by "Angels in America" for the most ever nods for a single play, but back in 2019, when the writer was much less well-known, he thought he'd hit the big time when he heard the pop superstar was dying to see his sold-out off-Broadway play "Daddy", and needed six tickets.

Jeremy went all out to find seats for the "Hello" hitmaker, explaining in a tweet, "ADELE IS ADELE and this was huge."

"30 minutes before show time, everyone starts freaking out bc (because) word comes up... that Adele had landed at the theatre!!!"

But the big thrill was not to be, because she exited the theatre 10 minutes before the curtain went up. Harris explains an usher told him she asked about an odd smell coming from a real pool on the stage.

"She said (to the usher) I'm not feeling well but k (OK)," he recalls. "Then she asked how long it (play) was."

"Daddy" running time of two hours and 45 minutes sent queasy Adele running, and left the author in tears.

"I sat down in one of her 6 seats and watched the show and laughed then cried as always," he admits.

Now Harris is hoping to lure her to "Slave Play", which reopens on Broadway in December (21), or the latest London staging of "Daddy" next year (22).

"I also vowed I would get ADELE to a play of mine. And become her friend," he notes, and now he's asking fans and followers to help with his mission.

"So this is where YALL COME IN (sic)," he pleads. "I need to get @Adele to notice this and remember this so I can give her an invite to @SlavePlayBway and also 'Daddy' at the Almeida. So RT (retweet), like and comment. Tag Adele and tell her she owes me!!! Adele you wanna see a play or don't you???"

The busy "Easy On Me" singer has yet to respond.
