The 'Mrs. Brown' actor is heartbroken as his battle with Parkinson's disease has caused him to lose his ability to write and made him 'walk like a drunk man.'

AceShowbiz - Billy Connolly's struggles with writing made penning his autobiography "Windswept & Interesting" a challenge.
The funnyman's new memoir explores his early life and rise to fame, and his ongoing battle with Parkinson's disease, which is now in its advanced stages.
Speaking on Friday's (15Oct21) edition of Britain's "The Graham Norton Show", the star admitted his illness makes it impossible for him to write and led to him finding creative ways to set out his story.
"I have lost the ability to write, and it breaks my heart as I used to love writing letters to people," explained Billy. "My writing went down the Swanny and is totally illegible, so I had to find a way to record everything but then the recorder didn't understand my accent so it kept collapsing and my family would have to sort it - it was a club effort!"
Asked about the title of the book, he says, "The rules of being 'windswept and interesting' are doing as you please and not taking lessons from anyone."
Billy also shared an update on his health woes, revealing, "I'm doing okay and have good days and bad days. It's creeping up on me and it never let's go. I walk like a drunk man and have to have help. So, life is different, but it is good."
