Britney Spears and her husband-to-be won't be following the trend of having their new Doberman puppy's ears cut away as he considers the procedure 'cruel.'

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears and her fiance Sam Asghari won't be cropping the ears of their new Doberman puppy, with Sam slamming the "cruel" procedure in a post on his Instagram page.
The dancer and actor surprised his wife-to-be with the gorgeous dog earlier this month (Oct21) and was soon faced with questions from fans as to whether they would crop Porsha's ears.
The surgery is common among Dobermans, where their ear lobes are cut away, but Sam insisted the pup wouldn't be going under the knife.
In a post on Instagram, he said, "First of all, we love her floppy ears. Two, she's a lover not a fighter. She's a protector. And three, it turns out that it's actually pretty cruel to do that to Dobermans or any dog. It's actually a fashion statement. It's something that people do for cosmetic reasons, and you know, all the other excuses that are out there."
"(Cropping a puppy's ears) actually affects the puppy psychologically and creates that trauma because puppies are so young, and they're developing," he continued.
Adding that he'd been educated on the process by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Sam concluded, "I highly recommend you educate yourself on these things."
He also revealed that Porsha's tail had been docked before she made her arrival at Britney's house.
Sam previously revealed that he'd got Porsha for Britney to protect her "from any mother**ker that comes around you with bad intentions."
