Pink Beats Madonna and Rihanna as U.K.'s Most Played Female Artist of 21st Century

The chart, which has been compiled for National Album Day by music licensing company PPL, uses exclusive music usage and airplay data from U.K. radio stations and television channels.

AceShowbiz - Pink has been named the most played female artist of 21st century in the United Kingdom.

The "What About Us" hitmaker beat the likes of Madonna, Katy Perry and Rihanna to the top spot in a chart compiled by music licensing company PPL. They come out second, third and fourth, respectively, with Lady GaGa in at number five.

According to a press release, the rundown, which has been compiled for National Album Day, uses exclusive music usage and airplay data from U.K. radio stations and television channels.

Pink launched her career in 2000 with her debut album "Can't Take Me Home" and has since released a further seven LPs, featuring hits including "Just Like a Pill", "So What", "Just Give Me a Reason" and "Walk Me Home".

National Album Day 2021 takes place on October 16 and will celebrate Women in Music, with exclusive vinyl reissues of classic albums from stars including Belinda Carlisle, Dido, Marianne Faithfull, Gabrielle, Kylie Minogue and more.
