The 'La La Land' actor, who shares 7-year-old Esmeralda Amanda and 5-year-old Amanda Lee with the actress, admits that they 'did more acting in quarantine than we have in our whole careers.'

AceShowbiz - Ryan Gosling has given a rare glimpse into his family life. The "La La Land" actor, who shares two daughters with Eva Mendes, revealed in a new interview that parenting with his partner was "tough" during quarantine.

The 40-year-old hunk got candid about his life at home when speaking to GQ at an event promoting his first-ever partnership with Tag Heuer on Friday, October 8. "Our kids are young, so it was a tough time for them to be separated from other kids and not being able to see family and whatnot. So, we did our best to entertain them," he said.

Ryan, who is a father to 7-year-old Esmeralda Amanda and 5-year-old Amanda Lee, continued, "I think Eva and I did more acting in quarantine than we have in our whole careers." The Golden Globe winner then revealed that he and Eva "spent a lot of [their] time" just doing bedtime stories.

Ryan also divulged that his family inspired him to join forces with the Swiss watch brand. "On a personal level, I think about time more than I used to," he explained. "I have two kids and they're growing up fast. So I keep my eye on the clock more than I used to."

"For my first Father's Day, Eva gave me a watch," the Canadian native went on elaborating. "The brand doesn't matter. The symbol was what mattered. It meant, you're on the clock now."

Ryan and Eva have been in a romantic relationship since 2011. The couple, who first met on the set of their film "The Place Beyond the Pines", has been known for being private with their family lives.

Eva once opened up about her decision not to post about her "immediate family" on Instagram. "I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I'll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won't post pictures of our daily life," she wrote in April 2020.

"Since my children are still so little and don't understand what posting their image really means, I don't have their consent," the 47-year-old star further elaborated. "And I won't post their image until they're old enough to give me consent."
