AceShowbiz - Sheridan Smith may be set to walk down the aisle with her ex Alex Lawler. The "The Huntsman: Winter's War" actress has just sparked speculations that they are engaged after she was spotted rocking a large diamond ring on that finger in a new social media post.
On Sunday, October 10, the 40-year-old actress shared a sweet photo with Alex on her Instagram page. In it, she could be seen flaunting her new sparkling band while sweetly cupping her man's face. "Life begins at 40. 40\40 [love]," she captioned her post.
Many fans of the TV personality were quick to flood the comment section with speculations that the two are engaged. "Life is too short not to be happy. Do what makes you happy and makes you smile", one follower suggested. In the meantime, another wrote, "Great pic. Wishing you both happiness. Definitely begins at 40. I am much more assured now than when [I was] younger."
A third chimed in, "Ahh, I'm so happy for you babe. I'm 40 next year and a single mum of three so let's hope my Mr Right is out there for me too." A fourth Instagram user, however, didn't want to jump to conclusions, asking, "Engagement???"
The lovely social media post came shortly after Sheridan rekindled her romance with Alex three months after she called it quits with fiance Jamie Horn. The "Royle Family" actress and Jamie, who first met on Tinder three years ago, went their separate ways over a year after welcoming their first child, a son named Billy, in May 2020.
In a joint statement issued to The Sun in July, Sheridan and Jamie wrote, "It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart." The former couple went on saying, "We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you."
