Carly Pearce Announced as Host for 2021 ACM Honors

The 'Every Little Thing' crooner is scheduled to host the upcoming Academy of Country Music Honors, which will celebrate the likes of Loretta Lynn and Toby Keith in August.

AceShowbiz - Carly Pearce will host the Academy of Country Music Honors next month (Aug21).

The singer, who is a two-time 2021 ACM Awards winner, has confirmed she'll front the big show, where Loretta Lynn and Dan + Shay will be among those saluted.

"Winning two ACM Awards this year was a dream come true, and I cannot wait to share that same feeling with my fellow artists and industry friends as their special moments are recognised," Pearce says. "I look forward to a night of honouring the best in country music."

The 2021 ACM Honors will feature performances from Ashley McBryde, Lee Ann Womack, Lauren Alaina, Sara Evans, Lady A, and RaeLynn, among others. The big event will be staged at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on 25 August.

Loretta Lynn will join songwriters Gretchen Peters and the late Curly Putman as ACM Poet's Award honourees while Dan + Shay will be feted with the ACM Jim Reeves International Award for "outstanding contributions to the acceptance of country music throughout the world."

Toby Keith will be the 2021 recipient of the ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award - a trophy presented to a singer/songwriter who is "continuing the legacy of country legend Merle Haggard," who was a close friend of Toby's.

Other ACM Honors will be handed out to Rascal Flatts (ACM Cliffie Stone Icon Award), Lady A and songwriter and producer Ross Copperman (ACM Gary Haber Lifting Lives Award), and Luke Combs (ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award).
