AceShowbiz - Bono's son Elijah Hewson and his band Inhaler have topped the U.K. charts with their debut album.
"It Won't Always Be Like This" debuted at number one on Friday, July 16.
The Irish group is fronted by Hewson, the 21-year-old son of U2's Bono, whose voice has been compared to that of his famous father.
Celebrating the chart achievement, the Inhaler members state, "We can't believe our album has gone to Number 1. From starting off in small clubs in the UK to where we are today, never did we think during the making of this album that this would be possible for us four chancers."
"Thank you to everyone who bought or streamed our record. It means the absolute world to us."
They are the first Irish band in 13 years to hit the top of the Official UK Albums Chart with their debut album, according to NME. The last Irish band topping the charts with their first record was The Script with their self-titled debut in 2008.
Inhaler knocks Olivia Rodrigo's "Sour" down to two, while Queen's "Greatest Hits" is at three.
Meanwhile, on the singles charts, Ed Sheeran's track "Bad Habits" continues to dominate for a third week, keeping Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" in second place.
"Clash", by Dave featuring Stormzy, debuts in third place and "Stay", the team-up of The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, enters the chart at five.
"Three Lions (Football's Coming Home)" by The Lightning Seeds, David Baddiel, and Frank Skinner, holds steady at number four, despite England's loss to Italy at this year's Euro Cup.
