The 'Ted Lasso' actor publicly declares his support for England's three soccer players after they were targeted by online racist trolls following Euro 2020.

AceShowbiz - Actor Jason Sudeikis has shown his support for the three England soccer players who faced racist abuse in the aftermath of their EURO 2020 final loss to Italy last weekend (11Jul21).
The "Ted Lasso" star wore a top with the words "Jadon & Marcus & Bukayo" on the front to the second season premiere of his hit AppleTV+ series in West Hollywood, California on Thursday (15Jul21).
Sudeikis' special statement is to honour the three black England stars - Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Bukayo Saka - who were the targets of vicious racist online attacks after they each missed penalties during the event's final.
U.K. police and soccer officials have vowed to take legal action, and four people have already been arrested for the posts, some of which featured monkey and banana emoticons.
Sudeikis' pro-player statement is in line with the upbeat message of "Ted Lasso", in which he plays a small-time American football coach hired by a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching the game.
The Apple series earned 20 Emmy awards nominations this week and received five nominations from the American Television Critics Association.
Sudeikis has previously made social statements via his attire. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards in April (21), he accepted his award for best male actor in a comedy series wearing a sweater that read "My Body My Choice," indicating his support for women's reproductive rights.
"Ted Lasso" second season debuts on 23 July (21).
