Los Angeles police officers are investigating the report of a stranger allegedly breaking into the property owned by the 'Umbrella' hitmaker in California.

AceShowbiz - Los Angeles police are on the look out for an alleged trespasser who recently made their way onto Rihanna's property.

The "Work" singer's security guards spotted the unwanted visitor climbing over a wall early one morning last week (ends02Jul21), and quickly alerted local authorities.

However, by the time cops arrived on the scene, the assailant had already fled.

They are now investigating the matter to try and identify the suspect.

According to TMZ, Rihanna was not present during the incident as the pad is one she typically rents out.

Meanwhile, fellow celebrities Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were recently targeted in vandalism.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of vandalising the couple's Los Angeles mansion.

The married actors are currently having their property renovated, but a new paint job on the exterior of the building was destroyed on Monday (05Jul21) after the suspect allegedly used orange paint to decorate the walls with his social media handles and messages to the "Modern Family" beauty Vergara, who he believes is his mother.

According to TMZ, the man was still on site when police arrived and questioned him about his actions, which the perpetrator apparently revealed had just been completed.

The cost of the damage caused is reported to be over $100,000 (£72,000).

The incident happened roughly eight months after Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were granted a restraining order against an obsessed fan.

Rengifo Randazzo was arrested last year for trespassing in the gated community where the actress lives. He also allegedly harassed her husband Joe and son Manolo.
