The Sam Wilson of Marvel Cinematic Universe reveals he's a married man after quietly tying the knot with his partner of 28 years during Covid-19 health crisis.

AceShowbiz - Actor Don Cheadle started 2021 as a married man.

The "Avengers: Endgame" star reveals he quietly tied the knot with actress Bridgid Coulter, his partner of 28 years, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He shared the news on America's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday (30Jun21) as he chatted to guest host Wanda Sykes after she revealed she owed him an apology.

"You texted me at the top of the year, I guess, and you told me that you just got married," the comedienne said. "And I was like, 'Oh d**n, the pandemic got to Don and Bridgid!' "

"I was like, 'What the hell happened, man?' " she joked. "I think I just text something back, like, 'Hey, if you're happy, I'm happy for you...' I was like, 'Cheadle went Hollywood!' "

Sykes admitted her response wasn't as joyful as it could have been because she thought the longtime couple was already husband and wife.

"I mean, that's understandable given that we've been together 28 years before we got married," Cheadle responded. "I hold you blameless."

He and Coulter, his co-star in 1997 film "Rosewood", first began dating in 1992 and they are parents to daughters Ayana and Imani.

While Don Cheadle and Bridgid Coulter never hid their relationship, they rarely talked about it in interviews. Coulter, who switched career from an actor to interior designer, often accompanied him on red carpet.

Earlier this year, the 2021 Golden Globe awards, where Cheadle attended the event along with Coulter from the comfort of their home, offered a glimpse of the dynamics between them as a fun-loving couple when he hilariously gestured for Jason Sudeikis to wrap up his Best Actor acceptance speech.
