Kim Saira says seeing 'The Late Late Show' host only 'put out a one sentence statement' over her campaign is 'really hurtful' since she keeps getting hate criticism online from 'non-Asian, white people.'

AceShowbiz - Kim Saira is facing hate messages and death threats every day. Amid controversy surrounding James Corden's "Spill Your Guts" segment on "The Late Late Show with James Corden", the woman who created the campaign to cancel the segment has spoken up about the disturbing response she received for her petition.
The Instagram star, who has nearly 100,000 followers on her account, told TMZ that the petition, which got more than 45,000 signatures, drew animosity especially from "non-Asian, white people." She opened up, "I've been getting a lot of hate and death threats, almost every single day. I'll wake up to one, or like in my emails, so it's been really hard for me personally because I'm not in therapy and I'm kind of dealing with this backlash on my own."
"It's really just me in my room dealing with a lot of hate and death threats," Kim pointed out. She additionally claimed, "Even my Instagram [page] right now is shadow banned probably because I've had so many people report my account because of the pushback it's been having." She further added, "It's been really hard."
Kim also shared her thoughts on the statement James made during his appearance on "The Howard Stern Show". She claimed that the 42-year-old TV personality only "put out a one sentence statement," stressing that "it really made [her] disappointed." She confessed, "I cried a lot about it."
On the reason why, Kim elaborated, "Because the push back I've been getting and just the fact that he, you know, just put out a one sentence statement thinking it would fix everything. It was really hurtful for me." The 24-year-old California resident also declared that "[James] not responding isn't really going to affect him" as she's "sure he's still going to be making money off that segment and his show."
"I'm going to be the one on the back and continuously getting backlash. And, so, what does that mean? Does he care or because he had said on 'The Howard Stern Show' that they are very much aware of this petition?" Kim continued. She then concluded, "So, at this point, does he care to rectify this? That's something I'm not sure about."
Amid the controversy, James himself vowed that he "won't involve" any Asian foods again. "We heard that story, and the next time we do that bit we absolutely won't involve or use any of those foods... As you said at the start, our show is a show about joy and light and love, we don't want to make a show to upset anybody," the "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" host stated.
