The 'Lumberjack' spitter, who just released a new critically acclaimed album named 'Call Me If You Get Lost' on June 25, urges people to not 'let the wig get it twisted.'

AceShowbiz - Tyler, the Creator has a serious reminder for everyone. Claiming many people "forget" that he's a rapper because he is "so multifaceted," the "Lumberjack" spitter wants them to remember that he loves hip-hop so much.
"I just love rap so godd**n much," the MC told BillBoard on Sunday, June 27 at the BET Awards 2021. "Listening to ['The Dedication'] with [Lil Wayne], and 'We Got It For Cheap' with Clipse, they really shaped me into who I am. I think a lot of people forget that I'm a rapper because I'm so multifaceted. I just had to remind everyone, 'Don't let the wig get it twisted, y'all n****s can't f**k with me.' "
During the interview, Tyler also talked about his love for Detroit rap. "Detroit guys are different breeds," he raved. "The way [guys like] 42 Dugg and Babyface Ray articulate stuff, you can hear they grew up around OG pimps. It's interesting, I love it."
At the BET Awards 2021, Tyler performed "Lumberjack" from his critically acclaimed release "Call Me If You Get Lost", which was dropped on June 25. The album features guest appearances from 42 Dugg, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, DJ Drama, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Wayne, Domo Genesis, Lil Uzi Vert, Brent Faiyaz and Pharrell Williams.
Speaking about the collaboration was DJ Drama who told the outlet, "Tyler reached out to me last summer ... he always said it was a dream of his to do a Gangsta Grillz [tape]." He then raved about "how much of a hundred percenter [Tyler] is when it comes to production, writing, composing [and] videos."
The Generation Now co-founder, who said he went to L.A. every few months during the COVID-19 pandemic to work on the album, also divulged that he trusted Tyler with the placement of his vocals over the album's tracks. "Normally I let someone give me the music and I do my one-two over it," he pointed out. "[But Tyler] has it all in his head. I love people like that."
