AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian's undergarment line, SKIMS, has been given an Olympic-sized endorsement from U.S. female athletes heading for Japan next month (Jul21).
SKIMS will be the gear the American women will be wearing when they are not competing.
Kim announced the news via Instagram on Monday (28Jun21), posting photos of Olympians like Alex Morgan, Dalilah Muhammad, A'ja Wilson, and Haley Anderson decked out in SKIMS-inspired products with Team USA emblazoned across the front and sides.
"When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I've spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle," she gushed.
SKIMS partners will provide underwear, loungewear and pyjamas for all the U.S. athletes attending the Tokyo Games.
The Olympics, postponed from last year (20), are set to begin in Tokyo on 23 July. Serena Williams won't take part in the event. "There's a lot of reasons that I made my Olympic decision (sic)," she explained. "I don't feel like going into them today. Maybe another day. Sorry."
Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem were also among the tennis players who dropped out of the 2021 Olympic Game.
Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka hinted that she would participate in the sports event after pulling out of French Open, Berlin tournament, and Wimbledon following drama surrounding her refusal to take part in the press conference after her victory against Patricia Maria Tig at the French Open.
