The 'Titanic' actress encourages fellow women to embrace their flaws as the Oscar-winning star is officially tapped as a new global spokesmodel for the beauty giant.

AceShowbiz - Kate Winslet has been unveiled as the new face of beauty giant L'Oreal Paris.

The Oscar winner has landed the role of Global Ambassador for the cosmetics brand, and she wants to use her position to uplift and empower fellow women by encouraging self-acceptance to boost body confidence.

"It's taken work to get to a place where I make no apology for who I am, where I accept my flaws. I'm delighted to join the L'Oreal Paris sisterhood to say: it takes courage and strength to believe that you are worth it," Winslet shares in a press release, referencing the company's signature slogan, "Because you're worth it."

"Sometimes, you may not feel worth it at all. We all have moments like that. But, the more you say these words and believe in everything that you truly are, and however you identify, then with time and belief in yourself, you too will feel worth it."

With the new gig, the "Titanic" beauty joins fellow L'Oreal Paris spokesmodels such as Eva Longoria, Helen Mirren, and Viola Davis.

The news emerges as Winslet insists she has no secrets about ageing gracefully.

Speaking about getting older, the 45 year old told Vogue.co.uk, "I don't have any secrets. I do want to say to any woman who is trying to emulate a Hollywood look: it's a myth. It's honestly a myth."

"Women on the red carpet have been sat in hair and make-up for four hours to look like that and probably had facials every day during the week in the run up to the event. I know because I've been there and had that many facials. It's a moment in time."

"For me, the secret to ageing at any age, in Hollywood or not, is actually accepting who you are and accepting that we can't fight change. Sure, we can do things to support our health and our skin, to feel a little bit better and make ourselves last a bit longer. But for me, it's about beauty coming from within and not being so self critical - it's a big deal."
