The 'Quiet Place Part II' actor talks about navigating the entertainment industry as a young actor, admitting there's a darker side of the film business.

AceShowbiz - Noah Jupe is well aware of the "dangers" of Hollywood.

The 16-year-old actor has appeared in movies such as "Honey Boy" and "A Quiet Place Part II" - but he accepts that there's a darker side to the industry and that it's easy to get "lost" in the film business.

Recalling his role as child star Otis in "Honey Boy", Noah told Britain's The Independent newspaper, "I feel like this world, or Hollywood or whatever you want to call it, is dangerous."

"It's very easy to get lost. Especially if you have people like Otis's dad, who doesn't have his best interests in heart. He's very selfish, and I guess he wants the best career for his son, but he doesn't care about his mental state either."

And Noah thinks young stars need to have a strong support network around them to be able to stay healthy in the industry.

"The biggest thing that I took away from all of that is keeping your inner circle as close as possible, and to have people (around you) that have your best interests at heart, that care for you and want to protect you," he added. "It's a crazy world out there, and it's an equally if not more crazy world in Hollywood or in the movie industry. So to have that close circle of people that I trust, my family or my close friends, is very important."

Noah also expressed a desire to play more "villainous" roles, having featured as a cherubic schoolboy in many of his previous parts.

Speaking about his long-term ambitions, he said, "I've been playing quite innocent characters in the past few roles, if not all of them. I'm 16 now, so I'd like to give something a try that's not perfect or kind. Maybe a bit more villainous."
