AceShowbiz - Noel Gallagher was told by a healthcare expert he'd be a "fool" to reject the coronavirus vaccine.
The 54-year-old musician was initially reluctant to receive the jab because he thought it could lead to hair loss, but Noel ultimately changed his mind after speaking to his doctor.
Noel shared, "He said: 'Why would you not take it? What are you frightened of?' And I said: 'Being honest, hair loss,' and he said: 'Hmm, I can see that. But there is no evidence to suggest there will be any hair loss.' "
" 'So you're saying I should take it?' And he said: 'No, I'm saying, if you don't take it, you're a fool'."
Despite his doctor's advice, Noel defended the right to reject the vaccine. The former Oasis star said he also felt frustrated by seeing celebrities in pro-vaccine campaigns.
He told the Radio Times, "I will say: it's a human right to decline it. And the people who are virtue signalling, [with] their lofty wagging their finger at people who are declining it, can eff off. That's how fascism starts."
"When I sit at home and in between the football there's [public information films with] Lenny Henry [saying] 'take the jab', looking like an abandoned dog, I'm like: 'Mate, you take the jab, it's up to you'."
Last year (2020), the "Wonderwall" hitmaker revealed he was refusing to wear a face mask amid the pandemic.
The singer said at the time, "It's not a law. There's too many f****** liberties being taken away from us now... I choose not to wear one. If I get the virus it's on me, it's not on anyone else... it's a p***-take. There's no need for it... They're pointless."
Noel also bemoaned the inconsistencies of the government's policies. He explained, "Why do you have to wear one when you're having a f****** haircut, but you don't have to wear one in the pub?"
