Olivia Rodrigo Snags First No. 1 on Billboard 200 With Debut Album 'Sour'

This week's chart also sees Twenty One Pilots scoring their third Top 5-charting Billboard 200 entry with 'Scaled and Icy', while 42 Dugg's new album 'Free Dem Boyz' bows at No. 8.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Rodrigo proves that she's a force to be reckoned with. The 18-year-old singer's debut album "Sour" bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. As if that's not enough achievement for the Disney star, the album marks the second-largest streaming week ever for a non-R&B/hip-hop album after earning 295,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending May 27, according to MRC Data.

The album, which was released on May 21 via Geffen Records/Interscope Geffen A&M (IGA), is also the second-biggest for an album of any genre by a female artist. It also marks the biggest week of 2021 for an album, surpassing Taylor Swift's "Fearless" (Taylor's Version) that opened with 291,000 units back in April.

Of "Sour" number, SEA units comprise 218,000 units which equal to 300.73 million on-demand streams of the album's 11 tracks. Meanwhile, 72,000 are in the forms of album sales with TEA units comprising 4,000.

Back to this week's chart, J. Cole's former leader "The Off-Season" falls one rang to No. 2 with 92,0000 equivalent album units. Meanwhile, Twenty One Pilots scores their third Top 5-charting Billboard 200 entry with "Scaled and Icy". The group's latest studio album debuts at No. 3 with 75,000 equivalent album units.

Morgan Wallen's "Dangerous: The Double Album" stays steady at No. 4 after earning 55,000 equivalent album units. Trailing behind is Moneybagg Yo's "A Gangsta's Pain" with 49,000 units. This week also sees Pooh Shiesty's "Shiesty Season" bouncing back to the Top 10. The album soars high from No. 32 to No. 6 with 35,000 units, thanks to the reissue of the set on May 21 with 4 additional tracks.

Dua Lipa's "Future Nostalgia" dips from No. 5 to No. 7 with 34,000 equivalent album units. Meanwhile, 42 Dugg scores his first Billboard 200 Top 10 album with "Free Dem Boyz" that bows at No. 8 with 32,000 equivalent album units earned.

Occupying No. 9 is Justin Bieber's former No. 1 "Justice" with 31,000 equivalent album units. Rounding out the Top 10 on this week's Billboard 200 is Pop Smoke's "Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon" with 30,000 equivalent album units.
