Nearly five years after splitting from her fourth husband, the only daughter of Elvis Presley has become single again in the eyes of law following the finalization of the divorce.

AceShowbiz - Lisa Marie Presley is legally single again. Nearly five years after splitting from ex-husband Michael Lockwood and in the midst of an ongoing custody battle over her twin daughters, the only daughter of Elvis Presley was reported to have finalized her divorce from the guitarist.
On Wednesday, May 26, a judge was reported to have granted Lisa and Michael a dissolution of marriage. Though so, the exes were not done in sorting out issues that include child support, visitation rights for their 12-year-old daughters, financial disclosures, alleged misappropriation of properties, as well as attorneys' fees and costs.
In March, Lisa urged the judge overseeing her ongoing divorce and custody battle to end the legal fight, reasoning that she would like to move on with her life. The "Lights Out" singer and her ex-husband have been separated for almost five years before their divorce was settled.
Lisa married Michael, her fourth husband, in 2006. She gave birth to their twin girls, Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love, in 2008. She, however, filed for divorce in June 2016. In early 2020, her ex-husband reportedly blocked her children from traveling to Memphis, Tennessee to celebrate their grandfather Elvis Presley's 85th birthday celebration.
Previously, Lisa was granted joint custody of the twins. However, Michael filed a new custody paper in July 2020 shortly after her son, Benjamin Keough, took his own life. At the time, her ex-husband admitted that he feared his ex-wife would back into drug and alcohol abuse following the 27-year-old's suicide.
Michael argued in his legal documents that granting him full custody of the twins might be best for everyone involved. He claimed his kids told him that Lisa "walked around the house with a gun in her hand in 2017." He further stated, "There was at least one gun on the premises of her home at the time of her son's suicide and it is unclear where the gun was kept or whether Finley and/or Harper might have access to this gun or others."
"Thus, there is a significantly higher risk to the safety of the children which would ordinarily justify 100 percent physical custody to [me] at this time in such circumstances," he continued. However, Justice Dianna J. Gould-Saltman stated, "The court finds that the conflict between the parties and their communication difficulties have had a detrimental (effect on) the children's best interests."
