AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has finally broken her silence on long-running rumors that she hooked up with Travis Barker before he's dating her sister Kourtney Kardashian. Setting things straight once and for all, the reality TV star took to her Instagram Story to shut down the speculation.
The 40-year-old addressed the elephant in the room during a Q&A with fans via her social media account. On Wednesday, May 26, the mother of four let her followers ask her "anything" while she was getting her nails done.
One person took the chance to ask for a clarification from Kim regarding the hookup rumors. "Did you hook up with Travis Barker?" read the blunt question. Not getting coy, the estranged wife of Kanye West then replied on her Story, "NO! False narrative! We've been friends for years and I'm so happy for him and Kourt."
Earlier this month, Travis' ex Shanna Moakler claimed she "caught" the rocker having an "affair" with the KKW Beauty founder when they were still married in the early 2000s. The former Miss USA told Us Weekly that she divorced her then-husband because of his alleged infidelity.
Backing up Shanna's claims, back in 2019, Aubrey O'Day once talked about Kim and Travis' alleged affair in an Instagram post while recalling her best and worst Fourth of July moments. "I was 'bffs' with Kim Kardashian during a fourth. She was hooking up with Travis Barker and we were at his house... he was really dope," the singer wrote in the post which resurfaced earlier this month.
"Shanna his ex (who I love) supposedly was threatening to slash her tires (sorry girl but that was funny s**t, I would have too) so they asked her to park her car somewhere else," the former Danity Kane member continued her story. Aubrey also said that she was "annoyed" with the alleged affair because she and Kim were "bffs," but "I obviously would never tell her I was annoyed af, because you're not allowed to if you want to be 'bffs' with her."
It didn't help that Travis expressed his admiration at Kim in the past. In an interview with Us Weekly to promote his 2015 book "Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums", the Blink-182 drummer admitted, "How could you not stare at Kim? Mind you, I enjoyed hanging out with Paris, but I love curvy girls. Kim was eye candy. I was in no way disrespectful to Paris, but I couldn't keep my eyes off Kim."
He, however, has been happily dating Kim's sister Kourtney since confirming their relationship on Valentine's Day.
