The 'Laugh Now Cry Later' hitmaker walks onto the stage with his 3-year-old son, who clings to him throughout his speech before crying at the end due to the overwhelming attention.

AceShowbiz - Drake's son has just made his award show debut. The Canadian superstar took his first and only child Adonis to the 2021 Billboard Music Awards as he accepted Artist of the Decade award on the Sunday, May 23 telecast.
Wearing an off-shite suit and matching pants, the "In My Feelings" rapper walked onto the stage while holding his boy's hand. The 3-year-old, meanwhile, looked cute in a red plaid shirt and black pants while rocking dreadlocks.
As Drake delivered his speech, Adonis held the golden microphone trophy while clinging to his father. Drizzy attentively checked his son several times while speaking in front of the audience, who all wore face masks.
"Thank you very, very, very, very much," the 34-year-old began his thank-you note. "That video was really full of a lot of confidence and bravado, but you know the truth is I'm really bad at taking compliments. I'm really self-conscious about my music. Even if I do a good job I always wonder how I could've done it better. I rarely celebrate anything."
He went on sharing his success formula, "And just for anyone watching this that's wondering how this happened, that's really the answer. It's being so unsure how you're getting it done, that you just keep going int he hopes of figuring out the formula. Feeling so lucky and blessed that the fear of losing it keeps you up at night."
"I didn't really write a grandiose speech about how to make it work or what it took, 'cause to be really honest with you I don't quite understand it myself," Drake humbly said. "But I just know that I've spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyze all the things I did wrong, but tonight, for once, I'm sure as hell we did something right."
He then dedicated the award to his friends, his long-time collaborators and his peers, saluting them, "All of your decisions and the music you make really does have me tossing and turning at night trying to figure out what I should do next so thank you." As he concluded his speech by thanking "my beautiful family," Drake lifted his son Adonis who burst into tears, likely because he was overwhelmed by the attention.
Drake's father Dennis Graham was also spotted at the event, looking proud as his son accepted the award.
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California with Nick Jonas serving as the host.
