The 'Rocker Man' hitmaker is slammed in legal documents submitted by Renate Blauel for allegedly lying and breaching agreement to keep the details of their relationship secret.

AceShowbiz - Elton John's ex-wife Renate Blauel has claimed the star wanted to have kids with her, contrary to passages in his recent memoir.

In his 2019 autobiography, "Me", the father-of-two stated he never wanted kids until he met his now-husband David Furnish - but in court documents filed in response to the book, Renate says she and Elton tried to conceive.

According to British newspaper The Sun, in the documents, which form part of a $3.8 million (£3 million) legal complaint, Renate, 67, alleges the 73-year-old musician has "seriously misrepresented the nature of their relationship" in his book.

The filing reads, "The Claimant (Renate) and the Defendant (Elton) did attempt to have children during their relationship but were unable to do so."

The former couple wed in 1984 but divorced in 1988, the year the singer came out as gay rather than bisexual, as he had previously identified.

Renate, alleges the book and the 2019 film "Rocketman" have impacted her mental health due to their references to their relationship, allegedly breaking an agreement to keep details of their marriage private. She claims the breaching of their deal has left her suffering from depression.

The German sound engineer's legal team claim they raised concerns with the star but they were dismissed as "trivial" and that he has acted in a way which is "dismissive and disingenuous." His lawyers have responded by filing papers seeking to dismiss her complaint - alleging her story has been exaggerated to bag some of his $496 million (£390 million) fortune.

According to The Sun, Elton's lawyer Colin West has indicated that Elton denies breaching the terms of their agreement and that he had any knowledge Renate is susceptible to mental health issues, claiming she had not complained when he discussed the marriage in the past.
