AceShowbiz - Former Miss Universe Malaysia Samantha Katie James recently received backlash over her controversial comments on black people. That seemingly isn't the only time she got in trouble for her apparent racist remarks. In a video that recently circulated online, she was featured engaging in a verbal altercation with some people in South Africa back in 2017 before it took a nasty turn.

In the clip, which seemed to be taken at a pub, Samanthat could be heard yelling at someone, "You never gonna be up there. Malaysia is better than this f***ing garbage, way better. We're way more different." When the person explained that she was mad because Samantha mocked her country and asked her to shut up, Samantha fired back, "You shut the f**k up."

Later, Samantha began to hit the woman and that was when things escalated. She threw a glass at the woman while screaming, "W***e! I don't give a s**t who you are!" She was held by some people as they tried to stop things from getting nastier than it had been.

In related news, Samantha offered explanation about what she meant with "black people chose to be black" in her previous Instagram post. "Throughout my journey I have learned that we are more than just this temporary physical body, like an avatar, merely a tiny speck of dust in this vast infinite universe," she wrote on Tuesday, June 2.

"We tend to overlook that from time to time. In our process towards evolution as a human being, on earth. We chose our body, our family, our place of birth, our name and our lessons from the path we take tailor made for us," she added.

"To clear the air, yes I did poorly articulate myself when writing 'black people chose to be black' and 'to the black people, relax, take it as a challenge, it makes you stronger,' " Samantha, whose mother is Chinese Malaysian and father is Brazilian, admitted. "If I had been more attentive in how I wrote it, the message would off been understoon as a heartfelt message to all victims of racism be it any colour."

People were not impressed by the post as one person said that "this might be the worst apology I have ever read." Someone else wrote, "The fact that you still claim you're a woman of color and that compared your discrimination against the brutality that black people face on the daily appalling. This isn't an apology, this is a sob story. Get over yourself." Another user simply commented, "YOU ARE CANCELLED!!!"
