When posting a Mother's Day tribute to her supermodel mom, Alexandria 'Lexi' Zahra Jones reveals the two of them live on opposite coasts and she is missing her mother dearly.

AceShowbiz - Coronavirus pandemic has forced supermodel Iman and her teen daughter to stay miles apart for six months. When celebrating Mother's Day, Alexandria "Lexi" Zahra Jones expressed her longing to see her 64-year-old mother again, and issued a plea for others to seriously practice social distancing.
On Sunday, May 10, the daughter of David Bowie shared a throwback photo of her younger self sitting next to her mother. "Happy mothers day again here's another w me holding a chikkken nugget," she wrote alongside the snap. "everyone pls stay inside I haven't seen my mom for 6 months because we live on opposite coasts."
The 19-year-old then noted that it is very difficult to leave New York City because of the COVID-19 crisis. "But I'm a child and i miss her dearly," she went on admitting, before pleading with those seeing her post, "so pls be party poopers this one time so it doesn't take 2 f**king years to see her again thank you!"
Prior to that, Lexi put out another old photo of her as a child kissing Iman on the lips. Along with this picture, she wrote a simple tribute to her mother, "Happy mama day to my mommy and to all the mommys." On the same day, Iman herself wished others a happy Mother's Day by posting an Instagram message that read, "There is no role in life that is more essential than that of motherhood."
Lexi is Iman's only daughter from her 24 years of marriage to Bowie, who died from cancer in 2016. The supermodel has another daughter named Zulekha from her previous marriage to basketball player Spencer Haywood.
When speaking about her relationship with Bowie in October 2018, Iman vowed she will never remarry. "I mentioned my husband the other day with someone, and they said to me: 'You mean your late husband?' I said, 'No, he is always going to be my husband,' " she spilled in an interview with Net-A-Porter's digital magazine PorterEdit.
