The 'Bumblebee' actor surprises a young fan who's battling stage four cancer as he personally delivers merchandise and autographed memorabilia to the boy's home.

AceShowbiz - John Cena made super fan David Castle's seventh birthday one to remember when he paid a special visit to the young boy as he battles stage four cancer.

The wrestler-turned-actor, 43, visited David at his home in Odessa, Florida in association with the Make-A-Wish Foundation after being moved by his story.

The "Bumblebee" star wore a mask and gloves as he entered the home amid the Covid-19 crisis, and according to his mum, Tammy Miller, the youngster was "in tears with excitement" throughout the visit.

"This was truly the most amazing gift my son could have had," Miller said of Cena, who brought along with him merchandise such as championship belts and autographed memorabilia including programs and bobbleheads.

She later took to the site with shots of her son and the wrestling star, including a moving shot of Cena hugging David.

"My sweet boy... I'm beyond blessed," she captioned the snap.

Officials from the Make-A-Wish Foundation told U.S. TV show "Today" that Cena visited more than 600 children battling various health conditions as part of the organisation's campaign.

David's family currently has a crowdfunding page on website GoFundMe to help cover his medical expenses. Donations can be made here.
